Nah, it's just called "IntenseDebate", I imagine because that's what happens on so many blogs, right? You can now click on "Post Reply" for individual comments (like I did on your last one) and build comment threads that make sense. Nobody has to say, like, "Comment @5" so that then people have to go look for the 5th comment for context.

I should ask, are you reading my work on my actual blog or via an RSS feed of some sort? I don't know how the comments section looks to you.

oh, okay, thanks for the clarification. I thought you were changing to a more strictly debate type system and was feeling like a jerk for having just left semi-flippant comments here and there. I've been thinking about your "where's the line" post above, but didn't really want to debate it, just share my thoughts on it, so didn't post anything.

I didn't bring new comments to the blog. I simply imported current comments to the new comment system. My first attempt to do so did not succeed fully, and I temporarily lost some comments, but then I re-imported comments and got them all back.

With the new comment system I am able to reply directly to specific comments, and anyone leaving a comment can subscribe to follow-up comments.

Thank you for all your comments.

Oops, I'm sorry...I'd noticed the new comments, but I hadn't realized you brought them in order to encourage debate...best of luck with the new discourse.
